Ch. St. Jon Ally
McBeal
"Ally "

| In August
of 2003, Ally succumbed to cancer. Out of the blue one afternoon,
she lost her footing after coming in from the back yard. I rushed
her into the office where I work and treatment for auto immune
issues were started immediately. When she continued to worsen, we
were directed to the teaching hospital at the University Of
Georgia. The staff was kind and attentive but gave me no real
answers. Her prognosis was not good. They gave her little time.
Cancer was suspected but her condition could not support surgery.
My little trooper remained with me for 8 weeks , longer than
anyone would have expected. |
|
I hoped and
tried to help her beat the odds and be that "one in a million" who
would survive but failed. After telling her she could go to the
Rainbow Bridge, she left me. Ally now resides in my heart ( always
) and sits in a beautiful urn next to the Armani Cavalier
figurine.

Not long
after losing her while browsing eBay for Cavalier items, I came
across an Italian charm featuring her. I was stunned at first. My
first response was to contact the seller and find out where it
came from and tell her story. The seller was most helpful and
pointed me in the direction of the Pasante people. I contacted
them and received an aggressive and threatening email implying
that I was over reacting and that this gentleman had actually
taken the photo of the dog and could produce the dog if need be. I
sent him another email explaining he was mistaken and he replied
with the threat of corporate attorneys. Although her picture has a
copy right, any legal stands are to be taken in the state in
question which happens to be CA in this case. Local lawyers
advised me to "let it go" as the cost to stop him would be more
than I could afford. She has since then showed up world wide on
key chains , cross stitch patterns and others. I am honored that
others find her as charming and beautiful as I did.

Ally's daughter,
Ch St Jon Bijou Summer Dreams,
was honored at the Cavaliers of Puget Sound Specialty for being
one of the top 10 bitches of 2003. Her grandchildren will add
to her legacy. Ch St Jon Abbey Rd of Jollyrun has produced a son
who mirrors his grandmother. His name....Alex, of course! He maked
his debut in the show ring the summer of 2004. Ch St Jon Olympia
at Lyric has given birth as well. Ally will continue on in her
children and grandchildren. She was a constant joy in our lives
and an asset to the breed. She will be forever missed. |
